Matt Chenot (owner) graduates from Brooks Institute with a BA in Professional Photography with an emphasis in portraiture. His love for old view cameras is discovered as he begins his career as a portrait photographer. The seed of the idea to one day start a photo booth company is planted.

Unable to resist an opportunity, Matt moves to South Korea to teach Engrish for a year and fulfill a particular bucket list goal to live in a different culture. Many mistakes are made, like feeding 10 sixth grade girls MSG flavored ice cream, never the less much fun is had.

Arriving home to beloved California Matt has the opportunity to create the photo booth he’d been thinking about for the last 6 years. Starting off with a 105 year old antique gem from old San Juan the concept finally turns into a reality and The Photobooth Machine is born!
